Retaining Wall
A retaining wall is a structure designed to hold back or support soil, preventing erosion and managing changes in ground elevation. It is commonly used in landscaping, road construction, and hillside stabilization. Retaining walls can be made from materials like concrete, stone, bricks, or wood.
Our Process
Site Preparation
- Mark the wall location and measure the dimensions
- Excavate and level the foundation area
- Lay a base layer of compacted gravel or crushed stone for stability
Wall Construction
- Start placing the first row of blocks, stones, or bricks on the levelled base
- Stack the layers while ensuring proper alignment and stability
- Add reinforcement (e.g., geogrid, steel rods) if needed for extra strength
Backfilling and Drainage Installation
- Place a drainage pipe behind the wall to prevent water buildup
- Backfill with gravel or compacted soil to ensure stability
- Check for proper levelling and finish the wall with capstones or sealants
