Hardwood Decking
Hardwood decking is the use of durable, dense wood (such as teak, ipe, mahogany, or oak) to create outdoor decks, patios, or platforms. Hardwood is highly resistant to weather, pests, and wear, making it an excellent choice for long-lasting and visually appealing decking.
Our Process
Preparation & Foundation Setup
- Clear and level the ground where the deck will be installed
- Install concrete footings or wooden posts to support the deck frame
- Build a strong substructure using treated timber or metal joists for stability
Laying the Hardwood Decking Boards
- Measure and cut hardwood planks to fit the design layout
- Secure the boards to the joists using screws, hidden fasteners, or clips
- Leave small gaps between boards for expansion and water drainage
Finishing & Maintenance
- Sand the deck surface for a smooth, even finish
- Apply protective coatings (e.g., oil, stain, or sealant) to enhance durability
- Perform regular cleaning and maintenance to prevent fading, cracking, or mold buildup
